For whatever reason when I click on those eBay links, I always get error results on eBay website.

Can you post pictures instead of a link? You will get better feedback and engagement from the community doing so.

Look like standard low cost crap from China. I wouldn't bother.

Thank you!

Got one of those once on a watch I purchased... Never wore it, as @Rochete said, don't bother... Don't be fool by the packaging!

Actually, and I’m not trying to be an apologist for China, but some of the ‘low cost’ straps I’ve bought from there are quite good - well, I was happy with them anyway.

They are hit and miss and really depends on owner usage, sweat stains etc. Synthetic and croc grain calf is often used, thus justifying the low prices. These by virtue have a shorter shelf life then authentic exotic skin so all i can say is manage expectations. Machine threading also loses to saddle stitching by a mile so don be surprised by worn threading etc

I know, I have quite a few un-expensive ones too, but on this particular one, I was not impress with the quality of a similar strap the OP is showing.

So not saying that one should only buy 100€+ straps... but sometimes, one can be blinded by a nice packaging too 😀

I've tried these (or similar) off Ebay about 20 years ago, when they were selling for about $2-3 each (without deployant). At that price, easily worth it.

I'm assuming these are about $20+ now? At that price, I'd look to spending a bit more and going with a VN maker using real croc.

Sure I've got some decent ones from PRC, I wasn't implying everything from there is standard low cost crap but these ones surely are.

Actually, those 'lcc' ones are always the ones sellers (obviously not OF sellers) seem to put on watches I buy on eBay 😉

When I want cheap straps I start with cheapestnatostraps.com they have lots of styles and for $25 you can get a handful to try. Great option before committing to a much more expensive option.

"Please allow 1-3cm error due to manual measurement. pls make sure you do not mind before you bid" is honest of them, but it isn't the sort of risk worth taking when another $20 will buy you an acceptable Hirsch for a watch you care about. Also, it's the metal hardware (pins, s/b tool, clasp) you should also worry about here.

It'll be crap since it is trying to be something it is not. Even the upmarket bovine leather straps stamped to look like Croc or Alligator are nowhere near as nice as the real thing so to expect a £5 Chinese version to be tidy is a stretch. See the Hirsch Duke for about the best of this kind of thing but much better is to buy either a good quality non stamped bovine (ie cow leather) strap or shell out for a decent genuine croc.

ps you also see these from India with Omega branding, I have had some of those in hand and they are predictably awful.

Yep, I've got quite a few I don't know what to do with them. Nowadays I normally ask seller to keep it and send "head only".

Same. I have been happy with what they have sent me. But I also know where to keep my expectations based on the price.
However I have no complaints.
I've done 2 or 3 "bulk" buys from them. From NATO to "Premium" NATO, suede, leather, perlon...

Wouldn't bother with these. But could be useful to see the lowest rung of strap quality to appreciate the better ones.
