    1) The minute you post a link your letting everyone know about the watch your looking at.
( with twice as many lurkers than members sometimes your doubling your competition in bidding- not a smart thing if your uncovering a jem ;) )

    2) The thread is useless once the sale has ended and the link shows sale ended and no photos. ( waste of experienced members knowledge that can't be looked at by future noobs )

    3) Many don't click on links ( you know the email rules, never click a link unless it's from a trusted source )

    4) Many long time members are happy to help if a thread has a few photos, but links take us away from hunting our next watch

    5) Set a avatar, it's how we get to know people here.

    6) And finally one or two watches at a time, too many 5-10 watches being asked about at once lately

We are happy to help out a bit but make it easier for us.

Part of the problem maybe that some posters aren't familiar with, on a windows machine, the right click on the image and the "Copy Image Location" command and using the picture icon on the thread page to post their image.

    Agree this needs stickying.

As above, it makes threads useless for learning in the future once the links have expired, and it make it very onerous to help people/offer opinions when a newb posts a thread that contains no pictures and 5 links to various listings.

I think this should be the rule for the recommended watches on eBay, also. Even though a watch has sold, there's still a lot to learn from the photos.

Stickying it for now but will need to integrate it into some more comprehensive posts as we have too many stickies for people to read them all at the moment

Probably better to create a new thread with your question.
