Was out bid early on this one 馃槖
Close to 13k with auction fees and all from the one picture. Nice little auction house down south in Devon.
Apparently entered by the family of the original owner and included a later 1035 bracelet although in pieces apparently.

Great overall look in MHO, especially if that lume is original and the near perfect DON to boot.

What do you guys reckon?? Hope I lost out to a fellow member??? 馃槈 Would be nice to see what it really looks like.

Good to see it fetch reasonably strong money too, especially after the summer blow out we had with one being advertised every couple of days 馃憥

That looks like it will clean up wonderfully, plus it has the 'one owner' premium and it may have a slight tropical tint.

Could be a stunner and a good buy.

I was in on it till late. I got a bunch more pictures and it looked nice. The case back was jacked up but besides that not too many negatives. I agree it may be slightly tropical but was unable to see it in proper light. It had a bracelet with it too, 1035 if I recall.

Nobody has a problem with the lume color and its uniformity?

Nice watch.
26 million serial?
It shouldn't be. Ed Whites top out at 25.44m

I thought that initially. It looks more like the colouration seen on 2998's but I think it's fine.

Fat fingers, I meant 25million.
Thinking the bracelet is correct.

My EW and many others I have seen are far more wobbly than that and the colour does look pretty dark for tritium but Mr Fruit has pointed out in the past that examples with sharp lume are out there so it may be OK on that score. Or it may be an example of Mr Hyman's work of course.

I think it looks fantastic and placing bets on it being true. There is some slight darkening on the plots at 12,1 and 2, and 7 o鈥檆lock is slightly shrunken such that the white base is showing...not sure if that can be mimicked. Nice catch to whoever caught it.

A good lesson to others who believe you can open these backs with a case knife...

Where abouts in Devon was it? I wouldn't have minded a little drive along the coast to have a look at that. It's only the next county to me. 馃槙

Very jealous of whoever got that one. That type of lume really appeals to me.
