Thank you very much for the information, so does that means that this dial is a fake one?

Somebody repainted the dial at some point becuase the original paint deteriorated, its not fake, but its not pretty.

Is it possible to find someone to restore the watch to it original glory then or I can't fix it anymore

Dial can be refinished again

Problem is. What are you going to choose?

Personally. I would just leave the dial as is and buy the right hands

Find a watchmaker to replace the hands

Wouldn't put a lot of money into it as there's a chip in the caseback edge which lowers the value of the watch and movement is in average condition

The dial is only original once.

You can do a better repaint/redial, but it'll still won't be original and thus will have a significantly reduced collector value.

I want to be candid - but please do not feel offended - no offence intended...

I would not invest a single € or $ in this watch because it is a waiste of money, it is not worth to spend further bucks...

The dial is poor, hands are wrong,
the case is rusty and in poor condition
movement does not look good either, looks tired.

My advice: use it as a parts donor or sell it to recover at least some of your expenses

Then wait for a nicer one to come up for sale

and:

ask before you buy next time, so you can avoid noob tax

I know the watch is worthless but I would like to find out more about it 😀 because it is sitting in a corner for some time I got it about 11 years ago on a trip with my sister. Looking at it lately found it pretty interesting so want to find out more.
I love this size of watch because I have a relatively large wrist and the sunburst dail make the watch bigger which is nice. Would you recomemd something similar from omega so I could look for another one to collect? Something same age. And how much do you think I should spend on a 1940-50 watch?
Once again thank you for your honest opinion😀

You can hunt for the same watch style - the reference is in the case back - they are nice watches...

But you must try to find a mutch better example.

They show up on ebay from time to time.

If you have found a nice example show it here and ask for judgement - then buy when you got the OK from experienced members...

You seem to like the watch, and it already has its history with you, as you mentioned you bought on a trip etc etc. Take it to your local watchmaker of trust for a quick clean and lube and enjoy it! Then go look for your next piece and post it here. Good luck

The finish has deteriorated from the movement, but this in good running condition is still probably worth 200 dollars and the watch could be worth $300. Unless you feel attached to this I would sell it and put the money towards a better example.
