Anyone Recognize This 2452?

    I cannot find references to this little piece anywhere else. It appears to be a basic hand-wind Zenith, but the case seems 1960's but the hands and dial seem more like 1970's. Nice, though.

    So would this be a Japanese market item then? I am just curious where it fit in the range. It seems something between a Sporto and a low-grade Captain. I know Zenith produced many no-name models, I just haven't seen one like this before.

    I don;'t think we know that the items in that Japanese catalog are for the Japanese market exclusively, or even that Zenith regarded the Japanese market as separate from others. There are plenty of models in it that are found worldwide. http://nakahiro.parfait.ne.jp/catarog1970/moji/zenith1970.html

    In that particular catalog, there are no Sportos, so perhaps this is the substitute. That assumes that Zenith had a well-planned marketing strategy without duplication in market segments - and that's not certain either.
