I don´t think this is a 7912

but the watch is a sight to behold!

It is a 7912 dated 1/65, pics are in the original listing.

Congratulations on your purchase, your knowledge paid off! it looks like the auction house did you a favour with those pics. You saw saw through the editing. Well done.

Huge congrats and admire your courage which paid off in spades.
Your logic in retrospect was sound, putting just enough pieces together to feel confident.
Enjoy it!

The additional facet on the case lug is unfamiliar to me.

Agreed. A really nice example, but those edges do look a tad refreshed.

I think the high contrast that I shot those with is throwing you gents off. I am well aware of what factory bevels should be on these -65’s and also have owned five Ed Whites over the years. The case is 100% honest in-hand and I am very confident it has never been re-cut or restored - it is true that the bevel on the bottom right lug is slightly different…but these were hand polished cases originally. I’ll try to more accurately capture the case to put your minds at ease though 😉

Aaaaaah saturation. That pumpkin was all wrong, but in this light it looks just right. Congrats. My -65 has similar facets.

Worth noting is the fine brushing on them that matches the sides (similar to Robs new incoming).

Difficult to see if there's an applied logo on the dial.

UPDATE: thanks for sharing pictures @bazamu, I see now the applied logo and congratulations with your Ed White
