    Hello All

    Just straight into the points.

    having the following consideration:

1)- There is very Small dot like dust (shall i call it this) on one of the screws in the movement. The Back case never been opened. anyone encountered this?

2)- The GMT Hand on some hours lets say ( 20,21,22 ) are not aliened perfectly when time is sharp at for example 4:00. The GMT hand is little before. is this Normal?

Looking forward for the above replies :)

    Cheers

Ok, apologies but that dot you are speaking of I cannot see, I have looked at all of the deep black models and for the alignment of the gmt hand and hour hand I don't really quite understand, generally you want to set your GMT had first and then utilize the quick hour jump and they align just right. All the models I currently have in my grasp are aligned

Here is the photo of the GMT issue. As for the dust, still need to get a nice camera to make the dot like dust clear enough :)
As you can see, the GMT gets aligned when the main hour is few minutes after ....

That's perfectly fine, the hands are aligned correctly there is just a slight allowance of movement before the GMT hand will begin to move.

What i mean is, see the GMT Hand is perfectly at 14:00 while main hour is not perfectly at 10:00 ( which suppose to be?? ) just few minutes after that...is this normal?

Yes that is exactly what he said. There is a little lag in the GMT hand moving before 5 minutes are up. If I read what he said correctly.

I've owned two GMTs, a Breitling and an Explorer II. In both cases, the 12 and 24 hour hands lined up perfectly, i.e. when the 12 hour hand was lined up at 12, the 24 hour hand was lined up with whichever hour I had it set. To my eyes, the 12 and 24 hour hands on your PO are not lined up. jmo.

So does this mean there is a setting to make in order to maintain the lining-up? if yes, can someone explain how please?

    Thanks

Hey there, look at it this way, the GMT hand moves at half the speed of the Main (Local) Hour hand. Thats why the GMT hands makes 1 full revolution in 24hrs whilst the hour hand does 2 revolutions.

When the Main Hour hand shows 10 'o Clock, the GMT should show 14:00 hours exactly. However after that, the Main Hour hand will keep moving on at the usual speed, the GMT hand will move at its usual half-pace.

Simply put, the main and GMT hands should align with their markers perfectly on the top of the hour. Check it out at the next hour and let us know!

Anyway, i reset the timing and the GMT and i m testing it to see how aligned they are. Will keep you updated.

Any update on your GMT hand alignment? I've seen a couple of GMTs with this 'problem'...

I took it to Omega for check up and it appears to be a mechanical issue with regards to Time setting. I will get it back in few days and will keep you updated
