Yes I know. I have admitted that I made a mistake in the previous post. I messed up the rules with another forum which I will not mention here.

I won't edit my post and let it be a warning to the others. I am waiting for the third person to come in to tell me I made a mistake.

Don’t worry I still get gently slapped down on a regular basis. Your first is a right of passage here.

As long as you don’t insist your redialed Frankenstein watch is a rare preproduction model or throw out all logic and insist about a mythical batch of watches not made in Switzerland we will still embrace you.

Ah! I've seen those hands before. If I were to somehow find a set from a similar watch, would they fit in mine? I guess they wouldn't be exactly alike.

You would want to make sure that the hands are appropriate for the movement, dial, and case. But if you can source suitable replacement hands, a watchmaker could certainly have them exchanged.

It is perfectly fine and allowed for any member to give opinions on the value of any watch on the forum. Has been since our inception.

I think it's even perfectly fine and allowed for any member to give opinions of a sellers value on the forum 😗

@shawnc9 for future reference @cicindela is a mod hence the 2nd reply
and
@ConElPueblo well he um, he's a um, well um , we are just stuck with him it seems 😉 ( jokes aside like most here happy to help and a good guy that takes time to help out new members )

I understand. Don't want to mess up @Scott559 thread anymore, its makes it harder to find the answers he want.

To be honest, I really appreciate the effort put in by OF members to provide advice. I have learnt a lot here, someday I hope I can also contribute back to the community. 👍

Don't worry - derailing threads is a fine, fine OF tradition 😁

And don't listen to Standy, he's the resident village idiot, only without the rural charm or any sort of hygiene regime...

I think value of this watch is between eur 650 and eur 900 depending on how fast and where you want to sell. I've sold similar SMDV's for that price. One of the problems is that it's a unishell so you can not show the inside unless you go to a watchmaker to let him open the watch. But then you have additional costs. He has to remove the plexi and crown before opening the watch. But buyers often want to see the inside to check the modelnumber, referencenumber and caliber. Hope this helps. Good luck! And dont sell it. Even James Bond wore this watch!

Or Chrono24 always a good guide

I'd say C24 is actually a poor guide aspieces are generally severely overpriced and the actual sale price isn't shown once an item sells.

A sold listing search on eBay or even the private sales section on this forum is mych, much better.

I would not pay 200 usd for such a bad redial.
