Saw this watch earlier today. Can't find the model number anywhere online.

Be aware that these Costco watches are often gray market and may not have serial numbers/factory warranties.

But that dosen't mean that are not authentic..it's almost the same as you buy a watch online. If you'll go to any Omega dealer will say that Omega doesn't sell online...

Omega doesn't sell online, dealers sell Omega products online, big difference.

No AD's sell online. Only grey, or middlemen.

Yeah I’d definitely want Costco handling a watch repair under warranty... ::facepalm1::

So you don’t get a repair... they just swap... no matter what?

This is the same Costco that was selling watches with the serial numbers removed... right?

Would anybody really pay nearly $5K for that?

I've never heard this claim of Costco removing serial numbers from watches - have you seen this personally or have other proof of this?

Costco does offer repair services, and they have their own repair facility in the US:

They will repair, replace, or refund - I can't say many brand boutiques, AD's, or grey market dealers offer the same sort of warranty with no questions asked...

As much as you may try to run them down, they are as legitimate as any other grey market dealer.

    Cheers, Al

No skin in the game Al, and no intention or desire to run then up, down, side to side, or indeed round and round.

Costco, in the UK at least, went through a period of selling watches with serial removed.... it was on tv here on a programme called watchdog. They ended up giving people their money back, and for 2-3 years no longer sold watches. I don’t know what they do now... and honestly don’t care.

Not my money, not my choice. ;)

“As legitimate as any other grey market dealer”... well there you go.

Two years ago I purchased this, face to face, from a seller who wanted the cash to buy new at Costco:)

So are you not in favour of the grey market? You have only bought new watches from AD's or boutiques (assuming you have bought new)?

You appear to believe that grey market is somehow not legit, so would be interested to hear why...

I don’t care either way Al.

You implied that it was in some way more or less legit than the other routes of purchase... not me.

I’m not really sure what we’re arguing about?

I wouldnt buy from Costco... or another grey market dealer... that’s my choice. Everyone else gets to make their own.
