that bezel alone is worth half the price... good score for someone who is willing to put in to fix it up (or need some parts)

I had my eye on it, but bidding went a bit too high for my tastes.

If it's a transitional 145.022, the buyer might have difficulty breaking even (given the obvious condition issues).

little gambling here, with price of service and chronohand , if 105.012 you would win big if it is a 861
or movemnt was not matching that you would probably just break even
i was thinking would be a good project watch in the 3 ish K range....

That's exactly what I was thinking. Once it hit $4k (much less $4.7k), it was too much risk for me.

You've got to wonder why the chrono hand was removed in the first place, and what else might have happened while the case was open (the caseback had some nice scratches from this procedure).

I dare you to find another like that for the price achieved in the Ebay auction here...Me think you were a tad lucky...Not that there's anything wrong with that!

There you go then. Comparing prices between feb '15 and oct '16 is like comparing apples and oranges.

my guess: reset pusher " lost " and center second hand " vanished " = Movement will either not count 12 hours or not reset to 12 or both.... to fix this, there are a few parts needed. full service due anyway. had a close look at it and was bidding $ 3520. kind regards. achim

No visible caliber, movement number or caseback = No interest

empirically, most likely an Ω861 - the crown on there is consistent with what was seen on early 861's. I seem to recall seeing one or two VERY early 861's with a traditional, 24-tooth, skinny Omega Ω321 crown. . .but the crown seen on this piece seems to be originally to a span of time circa 1969-1972.

Since the dial has a applied logo and larger 5mm pushers (one intact), I would expect this watch is either a 145.012-67 or 68 with a 321 caliber movement OR a 145.022-68 with an 861 caliber movement. As for the crown, it appears that it might be a type B2 32 which MWO indicates could have been original on a 145.012. Of course the crown might have been changed in a long ago service.

Who knows, perhaps the buyer has a 145.012-68. Very hard to find.

I was leaning towards the 145.012 or 68 as well given the crown, would love to know what was under the hood. Oh well
