Does the model have any claim to fame or is it very sought after for some reason? I only see a skindiver with a pretty generic look
That's a really common case and bezel if I recall correctly. I mean here's the same watch with a different dial/handset: https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-UR...505811?hash=item288191c4d3:g:nU4AAOSwJ2pbxMIVPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network I assume that the Triton is valuable because it is branded with La Spirotechnique?
i'm no expert on the brand but you really don't see this triton model that often. i would not be surprised to see it back on the bay with a fresh crystal with a 4/5k price tag
Looks like all its money to me... https://auction.catawiki.com/kavels...chnique-vintage-auto-diver-rare-men-1950-1959
I saw it live. I’ll buy pretty much anything but I thought it was too much. Catawiki price doesn’t seem too bad though.
As @ConElPueblo asked before - what is the appeal of this specific model? The case, bezel, and movement are identical to many other French Skin diver watches out there, available for $200-400 all day long.
brand played a big role in the inflated price. not to mention dial color. if it wasn't trition or a uncommon dial color the 2/4 price range would be accurate.
Maybe I missed something but why would this be 4/5k? You see a lot of models not often but that does not mean it's 4/5k. Although this union ancre panda dial is definitely worth 5k... It's one of a kind...
it wouldn't be worth it. but that won't stop peeps for asking that price. even if it was relisted for double what he paid @ 2k he should have some interest. and you really can't compare no name budget chronos and no name skin divers to it, even if it is of similar quality. i mean,..you can. but why do it. it doesn't change perception or bring the triton's value as a brand down
La Spirotechnique does happen to be a model name of the legendary Mistral double hose scuba regulator---but that's not going to make this watch worth more than $400.
Might be time to up the price on this https://omegaforums.net/threads/vintage-diver-sperina-220-ono.40795/
Sorry pio, voyageantique has turned down your offer and this listing is closed. about time it was relisted. clean crystal and all https://www.ebay.fr/itm/113895701928Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
The real Triton Spirotechnique is a desirable and valuable watch. Not the OP watch, it's just a generic skin diver, regardless of the ridiculous asking price.
