To be honest I'm pretty new at this watch collecting malarky, but I thought I'd get myself a new box to stick my little treasures in. Should be a little bit more populated by the end of the week, I've only got 4 to date with another couple on the way
    Now I'm saving for the ultimates IMG_20180729_124141.jpg IMG_20180729_124118.jpg IMG_20180729_124135.jpg

I got this from Mappin & Webb in London about 20 years back and the idea is I won’t have more than 4 watches at a time (3 in the box and one on the wrist).

I’ve started to create loopholes though like cheaper watches “don’t count” and watches I was gifted don’t count now either

Nice good thinking with the box, always gonna fail though, you'll need a back up box for ones not so precious

The problem is that they are never big enough. ;)

image.jpeg I have one looks like what you got-paulgn, bought from Walmart thru amazon. Like it, still waiting for one from the watch guy (resto).
Cheap! I think $15.00, it serves it's purpose tho!

Very nice watch box. Good idea to use silica gel sachets like @Lovewatches2, particularly in a humid climate.

You might also need travel cases of different sizes for holidays, miscellaneous transportation boxes, perhaps a watch roll or two for GTGs, and you'll easily double your storage capacity. From then it's a short step to convince yourself that extra space might as well be put to good use at home.

Unless your in a sauna that is overkill on the silica gel
Just 1-2 of those round capsules should do.
Live in tropical Northern Australia and the misses curates a insect collection and you have more in your watch box than she has in a whole wall of cupboards
