https://monochrome-watches.com/omeg...c-and-titanium-and-yes-it-is-a-no-date-watch/ I know some were complaining about the date window...
I've thought about it but to me it is very similar in appearance as the DSOTM. Plus I'm waiting to see what other speedy's come out this year for anniversary
Looks sharp. I prefer dateless pieces for balance and to keep a bit of confusion in my life. I sign a lot of documents at work and most of the words between myself and others are “what’s the date?” Plus I like to wear lots of watches, and I cant keep them all on the correct date and setting can be a pain. A bigger concern to me is the wave pattern. Are the wave lines just painted on the dial? Or are they reminiscent to original wave dials with raised ridges? Paint would be super lame on such a nice looking piece. The again, my opinion is unimportant... I’m not in the market for new watches. I’m smitten by patina, scratches, and ghosted crap. Hello beautiful
The dial of the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Ceramic-and-Titanium might take the same overall design as all the other models in the collection, it is however different. Instead of “grooves” that are laser engraved on the dial, this version has a brushed ceramic dial with “positive relief” wave pattern, meaning that the waves are raised from the surface (and not recessed).
Damn omega made a black case watch I like. Must be the exception to the rule. :edit: Never mind it’s 43.5... Why omega why!!!!
Although it is bigger it does not feel too big. And it is noticeably lighter than the SS version. Here they are side by side in the Boutique and another on the wrist shot.
That's great to hear that it's much lighter than the SS. I was wondering whether the larger size would cancel that out. I think this is the one for me, but I'm just going to hold off until after the presumed March event at some point.... just in case. I have been waiting a long time to get my first "proper" watch, and always been drawn to the Seamasters. 99% sure this is my watch!
Trying to find the weights online and struggling. Felt lighter but hard to be sure how much the rubber strap contributes to the difference.
It not a titanium watch... it’s a ceramic with titanium bezel. Not that it matters my 3313 is the heaviest non precious metal watch I’ve ever held. You get used to the weight very quickly.
I think it's a gorgeous watch. Only thing keeping me from running to the AD is that I already own a Deep Black and a DSOTM and so I'm feeling like I've got Omega + ceramic covered.
They got a lot of positive feedback on the 43.5 POs. so maybe that's why? I initially thought of PO Deep Black cases laying around, but those are 45mm, right?
Hmm. Cannot have another one so soon. But had I the readies for this it would be a definite yes. The no date feature of this clinches it. Looks so complete with all hour markers intact.
As someone who oogles over 300ms already I really like the titanium valve and crown on this one vs polished in that side by side pic. I haven't decided if I would miss the red hand and text though vs having no date. I like that it is big because I have bigger wrists, but it is 3k more than I can find the current 300m for...
