The RM 25-01 Tourbillon Adventure designed to resemble a compass, 55mm inc crown, /20 made.. $980k USD.
I think it appeals to a very particular group of people. The same ones that spend £500 on a t-shirt in Harrods. Money does not buy taste...
I've never really been a fan of R.M but I can appreciate the work that goes into some of them. This on the other hand is just ridiculous.
I buy my t-shirts in the gap sale, and use all the discount vouchers I can find. Leaves move money for buying RM watches
If he puts it on his right wrist, by the end of the tournament his right arm will be as big as his left
Maybe there is a handle attachment to create a usable racket? That might be on the Mk2 for $200k more.
Probably a waiting list for these at that price. I'd wait and pick it up on the secondary market (or a law enforcement confiscated goods auction) in a couple of years.
@neilfrancis this could be a new look for us when we’re hanging out eating sarnies in town! Baggsy first drive of the Testarossa.
I love it. It’s absolutely ridiculous and makes no sense. It’s like that scene in waterworld when Kevin Costner jumps out of a hot air ballon with a tether on his foot and rescues the girl in the water. It’s a scene that defies credulity. It’s so bad that I have to enjoy it. It’s the same with this watch. Imagine the conversation with the gushing RM sales representative, “...and to ensure the compass is flat during readings it also thoughtfully includes a level” Brilliant!
I had to read more about this watch. https://www.ablogtowatch.com/richar...illon-adventure-watch-for-sylvester-stallone/ - Made for/with Sylvester Stallone - Detachable compass feature. The detached compass attaches to a special plate with a lanyard. - Movement torque and power reserve indicators - Water-tight compartment to hold water purification tablets - Tourbillon and chronograph complications
