No? Me neither, made you look though It is always nice to see a vintage Speedmaster, each individual watch has its own story to tell whether it has had a hard life or a easy life or whether parts have been changed or not. The colours of the bezels, dials and hands, the marks and scars, the different strap/bracelet combos. Keep them coming please Here is my contribution, these are the only Speedmasters I have in my collection at the moment, the straight lugs 2998 and 105.002 I have had a long time (for me), the 105.012-66 is a new addition.
That chocolate BAS1000 is epic, beautiful even lume, gorgeous dial colour, matching hands and a superb bezel, you've got to be keeping that one!
And they just keep coming! I've never seen as many lovely 2998's in my like than I've seen in a week or so on this forum.
What a jerk . Title certainly caught my attention. Vintage speedmasters are one of the main focuses of collection. Lovely collection! How much wrist time do they get?
The straight lugs are part of what I call the "boys collection" he has five watches in his collection so far, he is only five at the moment but when he is older and hopefully sensible he can have what ever I have managed to afford to keep for him, I just hope he likes and appreciates vintage watches
I thought the title would do that I wear them quite a bit but am always conscious that I have to keep them in good nick.
Well, I am going to be a bah humbug and say yes there are too many threads about speedies...you would almost think they never made any other watches......ok i will get my tin hat and run for cover
You guys are killing me with your great collections. My humble, up-and-coming collection (2998 offers welcome):
Sorry for asking and for my stupid ignorance, with no intention whatsoever to offend, but how come a Tachymètre BASE 1000 Bezel is not a DON? Kind regards
Wonderful collections!! Anyone have a spare Black Base 1000 Bezel that they might part with for cash or trade? My 2998-1 is desperate to be reunited with a proper bezel.
