Here's something that doesn't come up too often. Box and hang tag may be add-ons, but the watch looks like the real deal: http://www.ebay.com/itm/271949449119?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2648&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
That's pretty minty. does seem a bit steep for an 861, though those are bound to rise in price too. I would say realistically, around $4-5K if it is in fact a NOS specimen. Say $3500 for the watch plus $500 for the bracelet and you're already at $4K.
I'd probably say $4K as well. Non-NOS examples going in the mid-$2K range doesn't exactly translate to a 3-4x increase for an NOS example. While nice, there are tons of 861's (and 145.022's) out there. Supply/Demand dictates price increases more than anything else.
Wow. Sell my house, wife and kids. Not really. That's way off the planet, just like my response. [emoji12]
While I agree that 861 speedmasters are common, NOS examples are not. This one is lacking documentation and box, always begging the question how did it end up like this? I suppose never sold, therefore never boxed and no guarantee issued? Back to the value, I dont think that we can really compare a used -76 with this one, as the rarity factor is a huge influence. I have seen one sell in Paris for Euros 5500 which at the time (and exchange rate!) was very, very high. Again, hard to really judge as so few examples trade. The thing is, find another, I cannot. Nor do I own such an example. The fact that I choose not to have watches in unwearable condition is another subject. I can see this watch selling - after all, if you wanted one watch, to put away, this would be a good one. By the time you got it out again hopefully inflation will have made the cost irrelevant.
I had a look at the listing before I read the above responses and I was a bit shocked at some of prices suggested. I'd want to do a bit of digging to verify its all correct, ideally seeing it in person. If all checks out, I don't think towards $6k is unrealistic.
