A colleague has asked me if I can help him sell his grandfathers old DeVille as it now belongs to his mother who is not interested in using it. The watch had basically been in a box for 30 years now, so I do get the point of her wanting to sell it Besides from the crystal it is in good shape so might give the guy an offer my self Issue is that I cannot open this watch, hence I do not know the reference? Anybody knows? Don't even know if it is solid gold or capped. What do you think?
Ahh... ok... so that is the way of spotting that. Was not sure if cold capped also had it. Thanks. Any idea on what ref it is?
My guess, it is a ref. 165.020 Seamaster De Ville https://www.omegawatches.com/watch-omega-seamaster-de-ville-omega-bd-165-0020
Yea... after looking a bit I tend to agree. If it is not that one they are at least visually identical. In such case 14k gold then with the 552 movement. That would make sense to me. Thanks!
