I frequent Los Angeles, but have never considered the vintage watch scene. Does anybody know of some worthy stores out there?

I'll have to check these two out! If not to buy, then just to gaze.

I had bought a few from Ken at WBAW, but not in the past several years. The upward trend is accelerating, especially for vintage Rolex. Caveat emptor all the refinished dials, but there is full disclosure.

WBAW is good to look, but Omegas are pricey.
on the other hand, sometimes I see rolexes bought and sold for fair prices. (While I stand around wasting their time)

Having said that, I find almost all omegas in shops to be higher price than most of us round here pay.....or so we tell each other

I found the Jackmond web page seems to be a little out of date. A lot of watches on there are sold or not available.

He doesn't seem to care much about the web site. If you are in town here it is worth a visit.
