The price isn't bad (based on what I've seen), but I personally think the 125 needs the bar bracelet to complete the look. Add in an additional $350 for the bracelet on Ofrei, and suddenly the price isn't as attractive.

For a piece with such small production numbers, the 125 seems to be readily available on various auction sites, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a better example pop up soon at around the same price.

Not a bad deal, I have one I am thinking about parting with for 2550 usd and it has the original bracelet.

Okay...it was me looking for a no-holds-barred critique after the deal was done (an Omega Forum no-no!). And it looks great, even on its link bracelet

I do agree however that it would look more correct with a bar bracelet. And Otto Frei is about an hour away, so if I decide to take the hit $$$ at least gratification will be instant!

Never realized the 125 was so big. It makes me walk funny ;)

Nice one, and yes, in spite of the measurements, they are huge... but definately get the bracelet, the real thing is perfect

Aren't there two versions of the bar bracelet, an old and a new?

Apparently very difficult to tell apart without detailed examination

I read that the way to tell the different bar bracelets is to look at the underside as this is where they differ. Can't remember details, sorry!

From what I've seen, the "old" bar bracelet has the omega logo on the clasp set inside of a "skewed" box (wider at the top than the bottom), whereas the new one has the omega logo set inside of a perfectly square box. I cant see any other difference. I'll post a pic of each later tonight when I get home.

In the end, the new one is identical enough to the original.

The 60s/70s style trapezoid surround for the omega logo on the clasp was changed to a square in the 80s. You can see it on Speedmaster bracelets & it's one way to distinguish between old 1171 bracelets and the later ones.
