    Hi all!

Can't say I was looking for one, but quite like a JLC Memovox that appeared on a local auction site. Any thoughts on if it is all legit? Don't know very much on JLC and there have been so many different versions of dials it is not easy to find out if all is ok. Found one or two more with same dial and cannot see anything strange when compared to them. The K814 movement seem to fit with the stated time period as well.

Quite limited info on it besides that it runs well, but probably need a service. Cal K814. Stated diameter 36mm. 304978126_bf9e0149-ead9-4473-81bb-31674e183b89.jpg 304978126_f6964074-2c4d-441b-b312-44ac8d279dad.jpg 304978126_8441645a-cc94-4b5f-a348-f37aa03375f5.jpg 304978126_0806c515-0c8f-4c05-9976-387207621570.jpg

    Are the crowns signed?
They look a little flat and wide.

Looks like a redial to my eyes. Dial print quality seems poor, and shouldn't that 'Swiss Made' be much lower?

The photos are really bad, which is making the watch look washed out.

I'm also skeptical about the 36mm. Most of these cal 814 pieces are 34-35mm. 36mm would be much better if true, but I don't want you to be disappointed.

I have found quite a few others with the same wide anf flat crowns, but not sure if these are signed. Not sure I will bother asking. Gut feeling says I should back off on this one.

Yea... the dial print is a bit strange to me too. Looks a bit home made. I will leave this one I think.

This watch may pre-date the use of the JL logo (around 1958) so unsigned crowns could be correct for this model.

The fact that this is a redial doesn’t help. Case serial number is 750K, which puts it very close.

I still would not be bidding on this watch due to the poor dial work.

    Hope this helps.

Agree w everyone - very poor redial. The crowns are not signed on the earliest ones lik @gatorcpa says. STAY AWAY!!!

Wise to go with your gut feeling. It's there for a reason.
