It's not stepped-pie pan if that's what you mean by not scalloped. This one actually is a very nice example of luxe (not grand luxe).

For my untrained eye, this a very good/ good example. The case is still very good (not heavily polished), the dial is very clean, Arrow head marker is my favorite, the movement is OK. It is also possible Rose Gold (not sure) which increase its desirability.
The bracelet is not the Grand luxe brick type.... but overall if the bracelet is also solid gold (not gold plated), the asking price is not outrageous.

Its not a Grand Luxe but rather a De Luxe, so it doesn't have the stepped or scalloped dial. That said, it does have a 14K solid bracelet which is rather spiffy and probably original to the watch, and the solid silver box and paperwork is rather impressive too. Considering a solid gold Deluxe is a $3k+ watch on its own, the bracelet box and papers brings that up a bit and make it probably not far from the true price...

Wait for some more opinions on this first, but its ultimately down to you and which you would prefer. Some actually don't like the stepped dials, some prefer full sets, its personal choice.

Nice watch but there is a dent on the side of the case which is pretty substantial to me. Love the watch though.

A gold smith can probably do a laser gold weld and smooth it out to an even level but as far as I know it is quite expensive. That's a pretty hard hit but hey it is gold and it is a little soft. Scratches are fine for me but dents worry me a bit (I'm not a watchmaker so I am a little afraid).

Very nice watch. But the dent is a dealbreaker for me imo.

Going by everything we see and the condition, I'd say this is a $4.5k - $5k watch. The head alone, even with that ding, would fetch over $3k as dsio mentioned. I think it might be pink gold which only adds to the price. Add about $1k for the bracelet, and another $500 for the complete box.

See I think the bracelet is a bit higher than $1000, usually a 14K mesh bracelet with a thick clasp like that is at least 60 grams, which in 14K melts out to $1800+

I actually think the seller's price is about right for an asking price, maybe if it were $500 lower it'd be more interesting and if it were $1000, very interesting but at that price its not unreasonable, especially considering demand and prices are continuing to go north at present.

If you kept it two or three years, you'd make back any amount you overpaid IMO

Agreed. The box and bracelet together is about $2500.

Is that bracelet really that thick? They seemed pretty flimsy to me the last time I handled one.

It couldn't be under an ounce of fine gold with that length, thickness and clasp, honestly if someone here bought this watch and wanted to get rid of the bracelet, I'd offer $2000 for it in a heartbeat.

It's wrong to assume a nice original solid gold omega bracelet is worth only its melt value. It is not. Wouldn't be surprised at all if the bracelet if auctioned by itself hits $2000. And you are undervaluing the box as well - with the insert, that's a $1000 box. And like Ash, I would pay $2000 for that bracelet pretty quickly.
