Looking to get a modern piece serviced and refinished.

I've seen that Chronotek has been recommended several times on the forum for vintage watch service, but has anyone gotten a modern Omega worked on by them? They also apparently can laser weld as part of the refinishing process.

I’ve used them twice. Once was to service a watch that had previously been “repaired” by another watchmaker. I was very satisfied and would personally recommend them

They do superb work for both vintage and modern. Here’s my 2012 Aqua Terra “Skyfall” that Chronotek did a full service which also included the case and bracelet. You won’t be disappointed - they know what they’re doing.

Thanks for the photos! Did you get any laser welding done?

Yes, for a different watch. The case had a large deep scratch and a dent. When they repaired it, the work was so good that you would never have known that there was damage. Here’s what it looked like when it was restored.

Do they have an Omega parts account?
Yes, they have an Omega parts account. As I’m sure you know, independent watchmakers cannot sell parts from clients unless the work is done by the watchmaker.

Yes, I have an independent watchmaker with a Swatch/Omega parts account I work with all the time. I asked because I would never recommend someone have an Omega from the last 30 years serviced by a watchmaker with no parts account with Omega regardless of their experience level.
