Any reason in a yellow Gold medallion or a white Gold medallion used on Constellations?

I now have two Conny Pie Pans and one has a yellow gold medallion and the newest has a white gold medallion. Was this just a style thing, or any other reason?

You sure it's White Gold? More likely steel.

I seem to have read that all of the medallions were gold. Just took it for granted it was a white gold.

The stainless and solid gold cases had medallions that were done in raised relief, carved out of the caseback metal. The gold (pink, yellow, or rose) were stamped in to the stainless caseback which had a recess ready to accept them.

    Got it. Thank you.
So, I guess the same question, sort of.
What about each Constellation, made the difference to use gold or steel?.....Market?

Edit: To be a little more clear. What difference in each Stainless Steal Constellation watch is there with one having a SS stamped and carved medallion as to a SS case Constellation with a yellow gold medallion stamped into it?
    Market?
    Timeline?
    Case ref.?
    Style?
