Hi I'm thinking of buying an Omega Speedmaster Reduced, 1988, champagne dial with two bracelets/straps. Cal. 1140. Would appreciate your view on a reasonable price range assuming mint condition.
Google is your friend. Oh, and this link is ours. https://omegaforums.net/threads/vintage-omega-posting-guide.383/
The one pictures is not mint condition. Not a popular watch for Speedmaster fans so best bet would be Google past sales on eBay and chrono24
Hey Maximuss, In your search you'll need to be pretty specific as to exactly which one you're after, to get a reasonable price estimate: 1- There are a few with "rare" dials (that bumps the price £200-£500 depending on how "rare" they are. 2- there are a couple of special editions. 3- serviced/not? 4- strap/bracelet (replacement steel bracelet is around £300) 5- metal. Solid gold components add to the price. I'm assuming from your post that you've found one. Rather than tell you what you should be paying, how about telling us the asking, and we can tell you if it's fair or not.
I think this is a very interesting watch. Very expensive: I see them being sold over here for approx USD 15K, but I think those are fake. Others might chime in.
around here in Toronto Canada, I was looking for a Spedy reduced for a couple of months. Still have not found one and never saw one like this. IF it is real, and mint, I don't think it would sell for more than $5,000. But I am far from the most informed person here. If you could open the case and show the movement with a high resolution picture, you might get the real experts interested in helping you.
There's one exactly like it on ebay from alex in Mexico. I doubt it sells for much more than $2000 US. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I -once- did not want to fall back into the response EFauser always gives..... Most probably not my most funny day, today Edit: and i don't even like Speedmasters...
no shame at all!! you just sometime beat me to it: must be the time-difference.... keep up the good work
