Coming from your father, it would be a nice watch to wear, surely could benefit of a service.
Not the best lighting in the picture, but the case seems quite rough, it would be interesting to see it under natural light.

·Nice one, thanks Les, I will get some proper images of it in the next few days, it's at my Mum's and I'll post them when I get it. Strap was a weird one, it has the Longines wings on the buckle, but I'm sure it had 'Rolex' embossed into the leather on back of strap, and that would have to have been done a very very long time ago. I'm sure he's not worn it in more than 40 years.
