This watch was a gift by my father-in-law. It’s in perfect condition. He never wore it. However, I can’t locate info on it and I do not have papers. Anyone know the model and year?

You are a lucky guy. Its a very nice watch. The best way to get the experts here to give you the information you need is to open up the back and take pictures of the movement and show the information that's stamped on the inside of the back of the watch. Don't try to open it yourself, take it to someone who knows what they're doing. Definitely not a battery changer in the mall.

Your father-in-law had very good taste in watches.

I hope you wear it for a while and don't just sell it. It's really a lovely watch

Mid 90’s Omega Triple date. Mine is a 35218000 reference from 1993 with a 1150 movement. It left the factory as a blue dial, but time and whatever environmental conditions it was kept in before I purchased it caused the dial to change color to the textured black it is now that I actually really like.

The serial number for that watch is actually engraved on the outside of the case back. You could call a Boutique or your local AD and ask them to run the serial and they could tell you the reference number so that you could narrow down if yours has a 1150 or 1151 movement if you do not want to open the case back yourself.

Mine says hi and welcome to the forum!

Thanks. I haven’t thought about going to a dealer and having them look it up for me. Good advice

Not sure where the Moonface bit came from, this has no Moon connection. As already noted It’s a 90s triple date using a Valjoux 7750 derivative, there are plenty on eBay if you want an idea of value.

I am a novice with Watches. That said, I have included a couple more pics in case. I'm under the impression this profile shows a "moonface". if not, now I learned something.

I think you mean moon phase. Actually, that's the one thing the triple date doesn't have. It tells the day, date and month but no phases of the moon.

Thanks.. Good to know. I was thinking it was the curvature of the face as a "Moon". Hook Em!
