    Hi all!

I just bought this 2893-5 (according to the caseback) as a present for my wife.
I found it on eBay and liked the tropical gilt dial so much (especially at that price, a little over 400€) that I went for it no matter fully original it could be.
And I (we!) indeed totally love its looks!

It’s apparently from 58 according to its serial but I can’t find another similar dial online...Does it mean it’s a kind of redial of some sort? If it is, it’s probably a very old one as tre tropical aging is very convincing (at least to me^^)

if you have any infos on this watch, I’d be very happy to hear them!
    Thanks

edit : it arrived tonight, so I haven’t seen it in natural lighting yet!

    Nice tropical look.
Can you take a photo at 10:10 so we can see the whole Omega script.

the dial looks legit. I have seen similar aged dials on older Rolexes in the south pacific. I had a 60's model 6694 oyster date precision with identical aging and it was gorgeous. I think the black dialed with gilt print were especially prone to this style of aging. remarkably on our watch the dial surface was not at all weakened as well. sadly I gave in and sold it to a fellow VRF member :)
