For a song, I just acquired a nice blue-dialed 7733 panda chrono sold under a name that I'm not familiar with, Desotos--note the applied indexes and the rather unusual syringe-handed sub-registers. This model lacks the lollipop sweep hand common in other Desotos. It has a case branded JP Pingouin (other models have Gigandet cases), and I know that they made a nice Enicar Sherpa clone as well. Anyone have any other info on these guys? I've seen their watches jokingly referred to as "Poor Man's LeJours," which makes sense, since the case on mine matches the twisted-lyre lugged cases on some Le Jours. But it also makes me smile to see how far Le Jours have come that we can designate poor man's versions of them.
