Hi, I just got this for my fiancé as a cool retro summer watch. Does anyone here have any more info to share regarding this Heuer 756 ladies automatic diver? I know this is the first edition Monnin produced Heuer, as it has the “Ebauche Suisse” and french “Professionel” on the dial with dauphin / lollipop hands. I’m especially interested in knowing more on the bezel and production period as i have only seen two pictures of this watch, this one and one on the web as well on the brochure I recently discovered below, where the bezel is not the red/black (first?) version but not also the 756/2 version either. My watch, as well as the second found on the web, has no serial number on the caseback as all serial produced 756’s have. There is also no serial inside the movement. Any reason for this? I understand these are rare as they where made in the most dreadful quartz crisis, and not many have survived from neglect of service and hard use. But any info would be great. I have looked thru the web and found a few great short great articles of it.
Fearing being nuked from orbit by the mods I'll just post a link: http://chronocentric.com/forums/heuer/index.cgi?md=read;id=61940 OTOH if it's OK perhaps I could put up that pic..... [edit] Link fixed, but JanV's link leads to much the same place.
Dead link for me... I did... http://thoughts.onthedash.com/thoughts/bo-derek-wearing-nothing-but-a-heuer/ So yes to my question Note: isn’t that story a tad creepy? I mean her Dad...
Well, that was my first initial reaction, then I heard she did Playboy in 1980, so I think these where done in the same time.
That wallet of tools she has Hey, s'alright, you have two grown up kids already. Don't need more, do ya?
