    The dial intrigues me.

    "What"?

It's a vintage GP, probably from the late'40s or early '50s. Photos of the inside of the case back and movement would be needed to provide further info.

You would also be better off posting this in the "open" discussion forum, rather than "high-end".

Agreed, or the Other Watch Brands Forum. Although perhaps that is advice for future reference, since the thread is here now. :D

I think we can also probably infer that it is a hand-winding watch, and I don't expect it will have any particular model name. It looks legit at first glance. The dial is certainly appealing.

unless the seller is charging $10,000 USD for the watch. In that case this would be a high-end purchase for a low-end watch. :D

Thanks, I'll try to move it to one of those forums. I'm a bit new to this.

You could ask a moderator to move it, but I wouldn't start a new thread at this point. It will just confuse matters.

Paint creep and soft figures = refinished dial.

Is this from somewhere in South America?

Good observation, that is definitely a bad case of "overspray". I did not look closely enough.

Yeah, that type of sub-dial is usually a tell, as well.
