You might want to try on the Military Watch Resource website. They've forgotten more about mil watches than most people will ever know http://www.mwrforum.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?2-Main-Forum
From what I understand of these pieces, the current bid price of $4,700 for both is a steal. About 4 hours to go. Let’s see what happens. gatorcpa
The Omega looks fine to me. Not knowledgeable enough to give an opinion on the Longines, but it looks beautiful. Too bad the Omega dial is not in the same condition as the Longines'. The bezel blocking device is also missing on the Omega as far as I can see. Not easy to find a replacement.
I believe both dials are later, perhaps MOD changes. Longines minute hand also off. Nonetheless, desirable, highly desirable!
Hmmm.... I had an Omega Weems about twenty years ago.. the hard part about the bezel lock was the crown which is present. The little piece of metal is would be easy to fabricate....might not be perfect but would do the trick. Bill
You're right, not a problem if you go to aftermarket. Original is another story. Mine has an aftermarket replacement crown and bezel lock :
Hey @Fost what were you going to bid? just curious , both looked like nice watches/. and in my opinion they were not not MoD REdials.
I was OK for 6k euros. I contacted the seller to know if he was OK to ship to France and he just answer no problem at all. So i dont understand why he didn't allowed the international shipment... Too bad..
Question is - how much higher could these have gone if he had allowed international or even just EU bidders?
For me, the Longines dial doesn’t ring true- original. Hooked seven, rr track, swiss made and Longines font off.
