I don't know a huge amount about these, but I think that the asking price is extremely optimistic. I can't imagine that in auction this would reach anywhere near half of that. And is the case on this plated rather than stainless ? I would personally never buy a nice watch like this unless the case was full stainless steel.

Plated case and very mediocre movement. If the dial did not read "Heuer" this might go for 1/10th of the asking price.

That should be a steel case. If not, it is wrong for the watch.

The watch is one of Heuer's former "Economy" chronographs which came with silver or black dials. There were many different iterations of the case and dials, some with tachy scales, some with contrasting subdials. They are a little more difficult to identify than, for example, the Carrera. The asking price for the eBay example seems to me approximately £700-900 optimistic, especially for the silver dial version which typically is less sought-after.

Attached are some images from OnTheDash. Try searching through the Heuer forum there as well as looking through the old catalogues.

Thank you for the very detailed response. I thought vintage heuers are already increasing in value?

Some vintage Heuers have skyrocketed in value over the past few years. This is the problem. Some people think that having a Heuer badge equates to high value without considering the overall value of the watch itself.

While you might find some success on C11, they focus much more on modern TAG. Try the OnTheDash vintage Heuer forum too:

What does this mean? If I read your question literally - if you'd like a poster made with that photo, you could go to a local print shop?

I take it to mean does anyone have a image of a period poster featuring that model. Watch manufacturers made many such posters.
