Good afternoon -

I was given this watch many years ago by a family friend but don't know anything about it.

I've identified the movement as a 30T2SC but can't find anything which looks like the face anywhere online.

Any information would be most welcome!

Many thanks in advance,

IMO the dial and hands are from a later (=younger) watch.

The ref. is CK 2242 with an 18 J movement

It's a 1940s watch with a post-1953 dial.

Gosh thank you both - interesting.

Sounds like a bit of a frankenwatch!

Do you think it is worth servicing and keeping?

I’d be interested to see what it looks like on a wrist and in daylight instead of the current professional looking sales-ish photos. How the dial looks in the photos above? I probably wouldn’t wear it unless it had sentimental value but maybe it looks different in natural light.

Thank you! Also thank you for the compliment on my "sales-ish" photos - I took them in my living room with an iPhone. Just used a piece of A4 paper to block the distracting background!
