My grandmother left me this Omega 18K white gold watch. We think it was bought in the '70s. It has 18K on one clasp and the second clasp has the number 7-983.
Does anyone know anything about this watch? What it would be worth?

Probably worth its weight in gold plus a little more if you are planning to sell it. Ladies watches are not that collectable I'm afraid.

If your question about value is because you want to insure it, you will want to have it valued based on estimated replacement value, rather than its value as scrap gold, you'll likely need a formal appraisal. For an idea of what such watches trade for on the secondary market, check the archives on (for example) eBay. Depending of the market in your area, white gold might be a tough sell, if you plan on finding a buyer.
