Any DIY Watch Display Stand Ideas Out There?

I'm doing someone a favor and as part of this I need a bunch of watch display stands. Something along the lines of the plastic stands you see at stores. I can buy them on Amazon but if anybody knows of a way to make something similar out of regular household items for free or very little money I'm all ears. It's for a thrift store so the less it costs the better it is. Here's what I'm talking about. I was thinking about just crumpling up some colored tissue that you use for wrapping gifts but if there is a slightly more appealing way of doing it that would be good.

    Thanks.

Have seen a tree branch used before with watches on them at a vintage store. Stops them being picked up and was quite cool looking. Just need to find a tree with a thin enough branch.

Yes I should have asked if there are any inexpensive DIY ways to display watches. It's not necessary that they be individually displayed on stands as long as people can see them and they are organized.

Using some hands off old mannequins would look quite cool

Nice! Is that a 351? Can't see the hand colour on my computer so well.
Can you PM me a price on "a few"?

image.jpg This is a home-made stand using a cedar 2x4 cut at a 45° angle down the middle. A strap of steel about 1/2" wide, spot welded onto a 2" long piece of coat hanger wire bent into a "U" shape. Cheap and easy. If you like, you can powder coat, or dip them in liquid rubber.
