Good afternoon everyone, I've been looking at this watch for a while and I was always thinking that it was a redial. Just a few minutes ago I saw @ChicagoFrog Polerouter Sub and noticed that the 12 o'clock is the same, Art Deco style. Any chance this is original, as the seller states? Thanks for your help PS @ChicagoFrog if you ever get tired of having two Polerouter subs I'll be in Québec City over Christmas! It's closer then Switzerland.
Agree with @ELV web , looks pretty good to me. The art deco for the 12 was used on a few references amongst the calendar watches that UG produced. Will drag Sala book out later and find the specific ones.
Poor choice of font for the logo imo, but it is indeed an original dial. The finishing of the sub-registers would not have been maintained if this was redialed. I suspect the crown is an incorrect replacement though. I don't see any signs of over-polishing. The lugs look fairly sharp and the hallmarks on the caseback are still visible.
We may be splitting hairs, but I wouldn't consider that over polished. It certainly wouldn't be a determining factor in whether or not I would buy this piece. These caseback markings are chicken scrawl anyway
original. wrist wear in soft gold does not equal polishing. overexposed photography isn't helping me much to assess the actual degree of polishing.
Nothing, but while we all feel a bit Dim on Sundays, and occasionally a little Merde on Wednesdays, I'm not sure I want a watch that reminds me of it....
