I've been collecting Canon FD lenses for some time now and wanted to share my set.
I have them with "cine" focus gears, 80mm step-up rings (for a 77mm filter), and custom lens caps (from Precisious.fr). I do find older breach-type lenses more solid, but not sure about the image quality. My absolute favorites are 85/1.2L, 100/2.8SSC, and 55/1.2SSC. Also, a 35-105/3.5 zoom lens offers a lot for a videographer because it is parfocal and has a macro mode.

I don't have Canon FD macro lens, because I think modern macro lenses are better for my needs. But, maybe I will get one...

I shoot with Fuji X-H2 camera.

What do you have?

i loved my canon ae-1, but on an overseas trip, there was a water encounter, which ruined it.
enter the ae-1 program, which i still have, but haven't used in decades. have a tamron zoom
lense (iirc, 35-135mm) and a 1. f-stop 35mm lense as well.

Used to shoot a Canon F, first version. What a tank. The FD glass back then was exceptional, and some of the optical formulas basically were carried over to the L series. An FD mount lens that deserves a nod is the Vivitar Series 1 Komine-made 70-210mm f2.8-4. Those who shot film will attest to the sparkling image quality and wonderful builds of these icons. Only weak link was the aperture was buried in the internals and difficult to get at if one left the lens in the sun too long and oil got on the blades. These are inexpensive now and, adapted, make a wonderful addition to the arsenal if you shoot mirrorless and appreciate legacy glass.

Something of a holy grail of FD glass you have there. That layout is worthy of a magazine spread

Some shots using Canon FDs 50/1.4, 55/1.2, 85/1.2
None of these are macro lenses.
Also, I used rather large aperture (f2-f4) and still got amazing sharpness.

I have a Canon Elan II which I have only used once in the last 20 years, since I bought my first digital camera. It replaced two Canon AE1s that were stolen. I also have a 75-300 Canon telephoto lens for it. I bought it just before our 2000 trip to England and Scotland, and put 25 films through it. Have used it once since 2002.

FD is lovely glass!

I only have an AE1p with a few 'standard' FD lenses, in 24mm, 50mm and 100mm fixed focal length. Also recently picked up a Zoom XL, which supposedly has FD-level optics in 39-85mm packaged in a funky 80's 'compact' body (it's anything but compact, but let's let that slide 😁)
