    The below went for $1,938 at Antiquorum's NYC auction today. When I first saw the pic a few weeks ago I thought I might have a go at it, as I really dug the uncommon dial color and numeral style. But on closer inspection the mismatched shape of the hour and minute hands, plus the dodgy red-painted center-second hand, made me give it a pass. What do people here think: original or franken-hands?

    Wasn't that up on Ebay about 6 months ago? Sold rather cheaply, if I remember. I regretted not bidding. Beautiful watch.
