Saw this over the weekend and snapped it up. I am not usually a clock person, but was too cool not to get; the magnification over the movement is a detail I thought was fascinating.

I believe they are radium painted. The dial is near perfect and hands are pretty much perfect, usually some of the lume/radium is tatted out.

It absolutely did many, many moons ago!^
As a local, I’m not a fan or supporter of the retailer on the dial, but I love the city under it.
I was on the fence getting it but when I opened the case back and saw the Zenith movement, decided “why not?”.

I love a watch (or clock) with the retailer’s city on the dial, whether it’s Addis Ababa or Caracas.

I’ve never seen New Orleans on a dial before. Ça c’est bon!

Tous c'est tres bien!
I have seen only in research NOLA dials on pocket watches by the same local company.
I have no idea what to do with this one, will probably part with eventually, the radium freaks me out a bit.

A similar model was described in Manfred Rössler's book, p. 286.
The clock has Angelus 154 movement.
