Hello Friends! I got a Omega Vintage 18k solid gold, I hope so. There is no reference number. Is this omega legit or a fake? Ther is only a 18k 0,750 stamp. No hallmark or Helvetia Head. And no case number :-(
You've got a big problems on the dial. Not original. Doesn't resemble original. Sub-seconds hand just isn't right. Can't speak to whether it is real gold or not. Feel free to scroll through to see what watch dials with a caliber 269 movement looked like: http://naligazone.com/index.php/data-watch/omega/caliber-2/cal-269 Many times on the forum members point out that the most often, the right question is not whether a vintage piece is real or fake, it is whether a vintage piece is a conglomerate of vintage pieces (a franken),a redial (where the face has been altered), or original.
It looks as if someone has tried to clean up the dial and in the process has removed whatever was printed on it.
Typical South American type case, many threads have discussed these previously. These have much less gold content than Swiss made cases, also not terribly desirable. Movement genuine. As noted dial has had a disastrous attempt at cleaning.
