·Up for sale today is my late 1960’s Anthony diver with blue/white Bakelite bezel. I bought this when I was in a polychrome Bakelite diver frenzy and this is one of the last ones I have kept.
Case looks like a Squale medium but I have no confirmation of it being a Squale.
Case shows normal wear for a watch that’s been worn, Bakelite bezel has a few cracks but nothing alarming.
Case measures 35x41x13mm thick including the domed crystal with nicely downward curved lugs.
Dial is a matte blue with red outer track and applied faceted indices and is in great shape (pardon the crystal scratches- it could use a wet sand).
Several of the pips seem to be completely off the dial but some still remain and hands have nice custard yellow lume.
I was told it has an eta inside when I bought it but have never opened it up as it keeps great time, thus service history is unknown. If a movement shot is a make or break, I can take it to a friend who can open it up and snap a pic or two.
Note that these do wear small. If you have a 7.5” wrist (like mine) you may feel it a touch too small. If you have smaller wrists, these mid-sized divers are a sensational value. It will come on the burgundy perlon pictured which is a smaller sized strap (would fit up to 7.25) so if you need longer, I should have a nato that would work well on it and we can go strap shopping in my drawer.
I am asking $345 paypal F&F which includes shipping to CONUS. If you are more comfortable with regular PayPal (if you don’t know me) we can work that out. Outside of the US, we can figure out the shipping cost.
