http://www.vintagewatchforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=12157 15500GBP for an obsenstively 105.003-65 All papers, dial and hands look right, case and bracelet seem in good condition...so what's the bogeyman that I'm missing?
Everything looks correct but; 1. The case is ever so slightly polished 2. It has the whiff of an improved set - i.e. The endlinks although original 6's look like they may previously have been on an 18mm watch. 3. It's £15.5k or around $20k. That's pretty top end for a 105.003 imo and I'd expect everything to be perfect.
Why don't the #6 end-links fit correctly? Is that normal? [Edit: was posting at the same time as @Davidt , now I understand.]
Probably has, member hasn’t answered for a few months. And the FS was he’s only 5 posts Got what he wanted ran.
I would greatly prefer a pleasing face to face over an internet deal if I had 20k to blow on a speedy; I'd book a nice week end, go to Geneva or another nice place, sightsee a bit, go find a dealer I click with and come back with memories, and a watch. I think it explains why pricey watches do not always sell quickly over the net even if they are good deals. Not much pleasure out of a 20k bank transfer by itself, and not everyone enjoy buying on Internet and dodging scammers.
When you’re building an “original set”, but cheap out on the bits you actually need, and hope no one will notice.
