No animal. The box is of course related to "vegetable", the contents could fall into "mineral".

 

OK, I think the box is made out of broccoli!

Not Walnut, and not precious.

 

You have to think laterally Daniel, it's obviously not an animal or an animal product, and the box is obviously not mineral, so wood would have to fall into the veggie family.

Isn't it funny how wood and would sound exactly the same but have to use different letters.

No, and not actually samples.

Not as dark as ebony, maybe from the same geographical regions.

Not an Australian hardwood, and not liquid metal.

 

The grain doesn't correspond to either Teak or Eucalyptus! So I will go with mahogany!

Not mahogany, but just as popular for the same reasons.

Here's a bit that has the "patina" removed.

 

The box is obviously made of wood (and a few metal bits). If I had to guess I'd say it is from a deciduous species.

And inside... Some air and other stuff.
