    Dear watchfrieds

I have had this Compur in my collection for some time.
A friend has asked me about my Universals, and we dscussed this one.

The case looks very nice, the pushers are worn (they are plated - I guesss that is common ?).
The dial and blued hands looks almost perfect. Swiss at the bottom. To perfect for a watch from 1942?
I have seen similar watches with logo on the dial. Does anybody know what is corect?

Case diameter is 34,5 without crown.

Please give me your opinon about the watch and especially the dial and hands.

    Very best regards

    Dag

Perfect dial. Congrats, it's really difficult to find these UGs in such great conditions nowadays.

Hmm... I am not completely convinced...

Something about the inking. And it looks weirdly like the ink on the right subdial is too wide in diameter for the radial cut-out.

This maybe be a trick of the light. I'd like to see more photos in natural light.

Interesting... UG is tough. OP what were the points your friend discussed? To me the fonts are correct. The printing is inky but Im okay with it given the photos/lighting. The overlapping of markers to subdial I can forgive too because I thought acceptable in some older Universals.

If you like- take the glass off and post a straight on the dial pic. These guys will be able to point out exactly why/where its wrong.

Better light exposes the glaring flaws vs the original dials.

Redial. Also the hour stick hand looks dodgy on the tip?

Here's another reference shot, used to be mine, now with another forum member....
