I've been hunting a black dialed constellation with rose gold furniture for quite some time now. I've found another on the interwebs and wondering your opinion on this piece? Dial looks original to me but would like to get the expert opinions.

Comparing it to this one it looks OK

The hands are far too long though...

Dial looks original with scratches and age but case is overpolished.

    Hi Guys,

    Trying to learn here.
Always understood that the cross-hairs should be much thinner than the font on the dial.
Looking at the dial, they seem of comparable thickness.
    What am I missing here?

    Thanks!

Btw: I like the combination of rose and black

Rule #2 for vintage omegas (after condition, condition, condition):
    Exception, exception, exception

However, you really have to know your stuff before you invoke this! In this case this dial style did have crosshairs which are perhaps a smidgen thicker than other dial styles from the same era.

Not only is it black with pink dial furniture, making it most uncommon, but this style of chapter ring is the rarest of them all.

A good watchmaker should be able to find the proper hands for this model.

If not, it's possible to replate a proper set of yellow gold Omega hands to match.
