Awful lot of money for a quartz! If I got my hands on it I would get a huge gold plated chain and wear it to work around my kneck. Did everyone check out the lume shot?? For the price though it should be a big automatic with a case and everything.

Here is a wall clock with what looks to be the same Jurgen Quartz Cal 5820 movement for $350. It is probably a decent movement. I wondered if we scoured the earth if we could find another. It would be pretty cool to have but not more than a couple hundred bucks. Ironic for that for 4k you get a really nice Speedmaster. Also shouldn't say "swiss made" at the bottom of the dial? Suspicious to me.......

As said, my understanding is that there is no Jurgen Bolsche Movement maker, there is/was no Jurgen Bolsche. I found many of the same "panerai" clocks

I think there's a scam going on in Canada! I noticed that "they" being several Canadian sellers start selling these clocks at the same time.
I think they make them and slap a few stickers on the back...etc to make them "look good". Even if it cost $50 to make 1 they would be making a killing. I tried to get more info out of them by asking a question about the multiple sellers in the same area of Canada and now I can't bid on the clocks! No answers provided.

They are made in China I think - no shortage of them in all designs at HK trade shows

They are being sold by a few sellers from Canada only. This is the third time I've seen these same sellers making a pretty penny off this plastic clocks. Sketchy.

They're offering several on eBay/U.S. now for $200. There are also some that are IWC clocks but they all have the exact same back. These are cheap-o Chinese knockoffs, made at a cost of probably $10 each. All are from Taiwan. I'd buy one, but not for more than $25 or so.

This scam 's been going for years. Kept an eye on it for a while a few years back. The bidding on ALL of them goes up from ten's of dollars to hundreds of dollars at around the same time. Auctions of most end at around the same time. When you do a high bid you will be outbid but after auction is finished one will get a second chance offer as "the winning bidder changed his mind".
Google Jurgen Balls and nothing concrete turns up and the name is also spelled differently on some clocks.
I fell for it 🤦 and bought a Seamaster clock. It is still hanging on the wall and going great. Every time I look at it I tell myself to do my homework more thoroughly when buying on the bay.

No less gaudy than some of more recent Speedmaster LE, or 'cartoon' dials

Frankly…You will never lose money,… under estimating other people's bad taste
