Hi all

I would appreciate your help

Trying to figure out if this beautiful two tone dial is original.

The serial on the backcase starts with 8. Which dates it back to the 40s.
Which also matches the caliber.

What do you think ?

Probably original, but a bigger photo would be required for confident assessments.

I’m betting original, but looking forward to hearing from the Zenith experts here.

Edit after reading the responses below: Another lesson in know your dial. I’m getting to know Omega dials, but Zeniths are still out of my league because I haven’t done my studying yet.

Redialed IMO.

Seconds dial out of center as well as "swiss made"

Minute hand truncated and too long

BTW it is a two color and not a two tone

Good observation. Minute hand seems wrong. Doesn't mean that the dial is wrong though. I am not sure if I understand your point regarding the sseconds dial.

The spacing of the letters in Zenith. E in particular. One thing more and this is only my 1c worth but on the older models I’ve noticed a lot of the printed stars on the dial are not perfect like the example you showed and have a slightly heavier line weight. Not sure if that makes sense and it’s only an observation.
