I posted this one on another thread and it just came in today. Can you please let me know if I did ok for $7k? My main concerns are that the pushers and crystal were replaced during a recent service. Any opinions on originality, correctness, price and overall collector appeal would much appreciated by this newbie!

You did ok. I would say the set value is in the box and papers here. I've seen better 105.003. $7000 would be a steal if the watch wasn't beat up and it included the correct bracelet

Thanks. I sourced a nice 7912 bracelet to complete the set but the 6 end pieces elude me...

Yeah, the complete set is a good deal. The watch looks to be in ok, but used shape. It's the dial that would be an issue for most. At least the hands match the dial though.

7912 is a nice bracelet. Get some 617's from Ofrei and file the inside cutout a bit.. for $66, can't go wrong.

I actually did order a couple of 617s from Ofrei. What about the pushers? Are they period correct replacements?

Considering this was bought from a dealer, I think you did well. Not the best dial, but does have some charm. Papers, extract, service record - nice package. Also looks to have correct 24 tooth crown which is a bonus.

Pushers look ok. The 105.003 had bigger pushers than earlier models. Check out specs on speedmaster101.com and measure yours. That should tell you.

Congrats! The full kit is nice and the watch looks better (IMO at least) than most out there.

@Gemini4 your Speedy was sold the day after the Beatles wrapped up recording Sgt. Peppers, in case you needed some trivial historical context.

overall a very nice package ! dial is not in great shape. try to find a good one here.
but if you are concerned about originality and question possible replaced pushers and crystal, you will have big problems to find a speedmaster in the "original" ( means when it left the factory 50 plus years ago ) state. omega itself replaces many parts during services..... is that "not original" anymore in your book? even $ 500,000.00 plus rare Rolex Daytonas buyers know, that crystals and pushers will have been replaced after 50 years.... maybe some thought for a reality check? kind regards. achim

Search on German eBay for 19mm mesh/ Milanese and you will find a very nice budget (€30) bracelet!

    Also think that you don't need a 7912 but a 1035 with #506.

Is the box and papers important to you? Might seems daft question but some people seem to want the full set because they think they should.

If you specifically want the set I think it's ok, but box and papers don't appear to add a whole lot of value. Price might be a touch strong.

Personally bdes and papers are not at all important to me, I'd rather pay all the money on the watch.

The watch doesn't quite 'sing' to me so I will be looking to sell or trade if anyone is interested. Just message me as I do not have enough posts to qualify for sales forum access.
