also found this one. looks legit? He says it loses about 30 secs a day so definitely needs servicing. he's happy to sell for 700 Australia dollars. (540usd)looks ok to be but I'm pretty new to omega. good deal? i think omega goes for a bit more than I'm usa.

Nice looking watch and it would be nice to see the inside of the case back. I’m guessing it’s a 166.003, with a semi-recessed crown. The important things for me; the case, dial, hands and crown all look good and the movement too, although it needs a service. Servicing these 5** movements is not normally expensive.

I think that the price is fair and I’d be tempted, if I didn’t already have a couple of 165.003s (no date window).

These are lovely watches to wear. Here’s one of mine.

Not bad at all but personally not a fan of the date magnifier (not a big deal to swap out the crystal though. I'd see if you can knock another few dollars off given the quite obvious need for a service.

You can try but, personally, I think it looks as though it’s easily worth the asking price and, rather than haggle over 50 dollars, I’d snap it up and make sure I closed the deal.

Whatever you buy, you’ll want to service it sooner or later and, quite possibly, change the crystal but nice 50 year old 166.003s like this don’t come along as often as I would like.
