That's a pretty shaky looking dial :cautious:

Am I to believe that is an acceptable quality of printing for Omega?

I think they forgot to put the word "military" in the description. :p

Looks like a redial to me.

The telemetre dial (esp. "BASE") does look kind of hand-printed, doesn't it? Andrew Shear is very reliable with vintage Rolex, but not 100% sure about this Omega...

Yes, I'm surprised too - I've found Andrew pretty straightforward to deal with generally

Ditto the word tachymeter. Looks very hand done.

Possible an original owner had it done? Maybe trying to duplicate the functionality of the snail scales on some early chronos.

I seem to remember a 2998 with shorter Seamaster hands from earlier this year, discussed here, and not clearly mentioned on ebay? He is probably among the very best on vintage Rolex(!) but maybe less so on ancient omegas? ...and he only puts his 2nd rate stuff on ebay... :)

Andrew is good with rolex but Omega...i wouldn't go on his judgement. Better to just ask here.
